Note: This aidpage was started as a comment on "US Government Aid: Grants for Health, Federal Assistance for Health, Health Research Grants, Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans"Hello, I am 21 years of age, and I am currently a student enrolled at Borough of Manhattan Community College. I am full-time student, so I am covered by my mother's insurance. Unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover spinal decompression which is a alternative to surgery. I have a medical bill of $4,000, and I am already behind with the payment, so there will be late fees. I am unable to pay this bill, because I am currently unemployed. I tried to take out a loan, but I didn't qualify because of my unemployed status. Knowing I am unemployed, the only reason I decided to go through with this spinal decompression procedure is because my situation prevented me from being able to work. I suffer from 4 herniated disc in the lower portion of my back. I have medical documents, and MRI's to verify proof of my situation.
