The company I worked for went out of business last year and I shortly found myself out of work. I had no degree and no real marketable skills. After much consideration, my wife and I decided we would tighten the family belt and I would go to school to get a degree in computer networking. I started school and at the end of the first term, (during finals) my wife stopped coming home after work. Eventually she never returned at all. She has a house in town and we see her once or twice a week. I have 3 sons; 6, 4, and 1. And i have been raising them and going to school and I recently was able to get a part time job that would allow me to work at night. My wife is finally watching the kids so that I can go to school and work, but the time she will give is very limited so I have had trouble finding work that would adequately support my boys and I. Through the use of my financial aid and loans and some help from my church and friends, I have made it since November. As we head into the summer quarter at school, I have no financial aid to help me pay my rent, and my job pays me about $100 a week. I am frantically trying to find work that will pay me around $1700- $2000 per month so that I don't have to have any help but I don't have enough to pay my rent this month. I can pay all of my other bills but I am short $750 on my rent. Any help would be greatly appreciated by me and my boys, especially if it was a guide to a job. I have decided that I probably won't get to go back to school next year and that is okay. One day I will finish, but right now I must think about these kids and try to get a full time job that pays the bills. My rent is $1000 and must be paid by Wednesday the 6th at noon.
