We were getting by and doing well until last April, when I was hit by a drunk driver. I won't get into the details of my injuries, but there are several. At the beginning of the fall semester I went full time (internet courses) and did really well . We were able to get by on savings and I got the Pell, loans, and Food Stamps....but the savings is gone. It is vital to my family that I complete my degree. Companies say that they comply with the disability act, but the reality is that if two people that are equally qualified apply for the same position and one of the applicants suffers from a disability...the odds aren't in their favor. I need to be a major asset to my future employer and the only way to do that is to complete my education.
