However; we have six children between us and they are always outgrowing clothing and such. We have six children in our home, 3 belong to my husband's ex (not biologically his) and 3 of our own. The Mother is court ordered to pay child support but doesn't. We had some car trouble and had to put it in the shop. It cost 1169.00 to fix and I had to borrow that from my parents. We are struggling to pay it back and keep up on housing bills. any little bit of help would be so greatly appreciated as we seem to be slipping further and further in debt. My husband and I both work and are doing our best, it just doesn't seem to be enough. Please if you can help us we would be forever greatful. We have tried DHS and the local multipurpose center but we are just dollars above the poverty line! We are currently one month behind on our mortagage which is 1,025.55/mo Utilities are due in the amount of 277.46 I still owe my parent 800.00 and they need it back soon. (they do not have the means to give us money) We are doing all we can to keep it together, but it is hard being a large family in today's society. I don't even know where the groceries will come from next week. Nobody will help. If you know of ANY organization that may be able to help with the above bills please let me know. I am a good person and find it very hard to ask for the help I need, I know there are others that have it far worse than us. But I fear without help it won't be long until we slip through the cracks and won't be able to bounce back from this downhill slide. There is no aid available to us due to the fact that we work. The state actually told me that the best way for me to get assistance for the children would be to seperate from my husband! We don't need much our house payment is 1,125.00/month and currently we are one month behind. We had can troubles and had to pay 1,169.00 to have my van repaired. My husband drives a car that is on it's last leg and I don't know if we will be able to keep our family together if we lose our house. Finding shelter for 8 is a major problem.
