I have had a terrible couple of months. I am a single mother of four beautiful kids, under the age of 11. I was diagnosed with cancer in 2003, during my last pregnancy. I was able to have my son and he is healthy. I had 7 surgeries in 12 months, with each time having to spend at least five days in the hospital. We thought things were good, and now I have become ill again. I have been to the hospital twice in a week, and that is after seeing a docotor every other day. My children are all so strong. It breaks my heart that they have to see me hardly able to walk because of the pain. I am trying to work full time, and I was just accepted to the RN program, with advanced placement, at Boise State University. I could graduate next year. I was so excited, thinking that I could make our lives so much easier. I have recently become behind in all of my bills. My power was turned off last week, and I had to scrape every penny to get it back on. I just got a final disconnect notice from the water company. My car has died, in the middle of the road, three times in the last month. I certainly cannot afford the price of taking the car to the shop. My rent was due on October 15, and I have been making small payments to them. I go in tomorrow to see what the last MRI showed. Then, to top it all off, my hours at work dropped too low, due to school and being ill, so they dropped my medical insurance.
