I'm a single mother who is low income and mentally ill, but I want to make my son's life better and my life more quality through my passion for writing. I have one novel finished and I am already discussing self-publishing with a service called Author House. I need to move about so that is why I posted for help getting a notebook computer. Other ventures I need help with are getting my novel published (need about 4,000 for that alone), and money for marketing. I have more than one project in the works right now and can use all the help I can get!

Writer Needs Notebook Computer

Hello. I'm a writer just starting out (also a single mom) and I usually need to write and research on the go. I really need some help either with a donated notebook computer or with the money to purchase one that works well enough for me to write my articles and novels and research topics I have to write about. I have a VERY low income right now, so this is why I'm here and I'm hoping I'll find someone kind enough to help me succeed. Mind you, I'm not looking for anything fancy with all the bells and whistles and everything-- as long as it has XP and can access the internet pretty quickly, that's enough for me.
Thanx so much....

Prayers, Advice, Please... For My Mami

This is the gist of the sitch:
My mother had to leave her apt in South Orange, NJ back in 2000 or so, because her building was going entirely co-op and she couldn't afford to buy the dang thing. So, since my great aunt was getting on in years, she moved in with her at her senior complex to look out for her, and has been there ever since.
Earlier this year. my great aunt passed away at 92. You would think that since the building management, in a similar aituation, let the person who moved in with their relative take over the lease, that they'd do the same for my mother, yes?
No.
It turns out that they are pressuring her to move immediately, even though there was someone on the staff there (they kept changing staff all the time) who was trying to work with her and give her some more time and options. Somehow I get the feeling that in the instances of pushing for my mother to, at the very least, stay in the building, she wasn't helping much there at all. My mother says that she was trying to get them to put her name on the lease for years, but that the management at the time was incompetent (I won't say what she really said, LOL). Apparently he was, cuz he's not there anymore.
Now this building is run by public housing, and my mother has been on the Newark Housing Authority list for years. She is disabled and can't work, and only has limited income. She as been to the city government, legal aid-- you name it, she's prolly been there. She doesn't seem to be making any headway. I'm worried she'll really have no place to go soon.
From what I understand, what they are trying to do is get her into another senior building quicker, since she is pretty far up on the waiting list, and in light of the circumstances. But it doesn't look good... and she could be out as soon as next week (jerks). Someone was just up there giving her shite the other day about when was she going to move, claiming it was because the bigwigs are putting pressure on them, and they didn't even have the brass to come up themselves-- they sent the security guard from the front desk.Unbelievable.
So we all have been praying and hoping here, and we feel so helpless. I just wanted to ask for your prayers and or advice if you have any. It would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx in advance.... Yuri
